2017年欧洲最具创新大学排名(Europe's Most Innovative Universities)TOP100公布

2017年5月3日，汤森路透（Thompson Reuters）发布了2017年欧洲创新大学名单top100(Europe's Most Innovative Universities - 2017)，这个考察了涉及包括教育机构、非盈利慈善机构以及政府资助的实验室在内的全球600余组织的最具学术性的研究。在10 个不同的指标中，最注重的是学术论文（对应的是基础研究）和专利申请（对应机构的应用研究和商业化发现的能力）。

从区域上看，这 100 所学校有 60 所位于西欧国家，北欧 24 所排第二，欧洲南部有 15 所，而东欧只有1所学校在名单中。名单中只有 5 所大学位于不属于欧盟成员国的国家，其中4所在瑞士，1所在挪威（排名 41 的奥斯陆大学）。位居榜首的大学来自比利时是位于弗兰德斯区的 KU Leuven，是一所荷兰语系的天主教大学，但该校信仰自由，且以其综合以及高级科学研究著称；帝国理工学院排名第二，剑桥大学第三。
