This program is specifically designed for those students that plan to attend graduate school. This option requires the completion of advanced levels of math and the basic sciences such as chemistry, physics, and botany. It also requires the completion of original research and presentation of the results in written form and in an oral or poster format.

Applicant should have a better academic performance in high school and admission is considered on the basis of strength and quality of their curriculum; recent trends in their academic performance and class rank. Nonacademic factors such as leadership qualities, exceptional talents, conduct, and citizenship record may be considered in an admission decision. They should have High school GPA of 3.44 - 3.85. International students whose first language is not English and who are admitted with regular admission must meet one of the following language proficiency requirements: TOEFL scores of Internet-based test: score of 79 with no subscore below 17; Paper-based test: score of 550 with no subscore below 52; Computer-based test: score of 213 with no subscore below 19; Michigan State University English Language Test (MSUELT) with average score of at least 80 with no subscore below 80 or average score of at least 85 with no subscore below 78; Advanced Placement English Language score of 4 or higher; International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.5 or higher; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) average score of 80 or higher; SAT Critical Reading score of 480 or higher.

Applicant can submit the application form through online with a $50 nonrefundable application fee (drawn on U.S. funds) using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or an electronic check (online applications only). They have to submit personal statement; official or certified copies of all transcripts, diplomas, marked sheets, and certificates sent from all high schools, colleges, and universities attended; official high school transcripts if they have completed fewer than 28 semester credit hours; statement of financial proof with supporting bank statement.
