考生GRE成绩被取消打乱学生留学计划

ETS欲取消大陆考生海外GRE成绩 ，严重打乱学生2012年留学计划

截至2012年3月28日，已有多名考生的gre成绩被取消，显示为absent or not available。有考友给ETS打电话，发邮件进行询问，ETS回复说正在进行行政调查，两到四个礼拜会出结果，可是六七个礼拜后，依然没有消息。有消息称ETS准备取消自去年九月开始所有在海外考试的中国学生的托福gre成绩，此消息虽然没有得到ETS的证实，不过，ETS已经向所有送分学校发出通知，申明成绩无效。据悉，有录取学校正在考虑撤销已经发送的录取通知。

此次大规模gre成绩取消事件还没有得到ETS的官方通知，不过，如果考生成绩不能尽快恢复，恐怕会对这些考生2012年的留学进程造成毁灭性的影响。

附学校发送给取消分数考生的邮件：

Miss XXXX,

We were contacted by ETS in regards to the official GRE scores you submitted from your 
November 7, 2011 test date. ETS has informed us that they have completed a thorough review 
of your account and have discovered sufficient evidence to determine that your GRE scores 
are not valid. As a result, your scores have been canceled. ETS stated that a letter has been 
sent to you with the specific reasons your test scores were canceled. Due to privacy laws,
they are not able to provide us with the reasons unless you give written permission.

We request that you either give your written permission for ETS to release this letter to us 
or that you provide us with a copy of your letter. Unless you comply with this request, the 
offer of admission from our **** program will be rescinded. Depending on the information 
gathered by ETS, the offer of admission may also be rescinded.

Please respond to this email by April 3, 2012. If we do not receive a response, we will 
withdraw our offer of admission.

事件追诉：

2010 年10月23日，在中国大陆地区举行的GRE普通考试发生“错误重复使用先前旧试题”的事件，据称是GRE的主办单位ETS(美国教育考试服务中心)将部分2005年考试的旧题重新使用在10月23日的考试试题中，导致考试成绩失真，ETS决定取消所有中国大陆地区本次参加GRE普通考试的考生成绩。事后又为考生安排了免费补考，不过，这次成绩作废事件仍然影响了众多考生申请2011年秋季入学的计划。
