刚升入高三的同学们,记住,抓紧时间准备申请美国大学吧,大学正向你们敞开怀抱。少部分大学的申请截止日期是3月1号,或许你已经赶不上给你心仪院校寄申请书或者论文,尤其是在考试频繁的间隙。不过不要太沮丧哈，依旧有超过2600所大学等待你的选择,你一定会在美国找到一个更好的地方钻研学业。

For those of you who are starting senior 3, keep in mind that it’s never too late to start the U.S. college application process. Some colleges accept students all through.Senior 3. A few universities have application deadlines as late as March 1st of Senior 3. If you’ve missed some of the testing and application deadlines for a college where you wanted to apply and you find yourself short on time to write the application and essay for a particular college, remember there are 2,600 colleges and universities and it’s never too late to get into a strong college somewhere in the United States.

Senior 2 College Admissions Calendar:

September–June

Research the colleges; read college guides. Check out Zinch, the Website designed especially for Chinese students planning to study abroad in the USA. Study the Websites of the colleges that you hear about. Meet with U.S. college representatives who come to your school or city.

2月到6月

继续利用网络来寻找你心仪的学校。去他们的官方网站上跟他们的招生办公室取得联系,索取在他们学校学习的中国学生的信息,并试着和他们取得联系,了解情况。

February–June

Continue your research in college guides and on the Web. Check out the Websites of colleges that interest you. Email the admissions office and ask for names and email addresses of their Chinese students to whom you can write.

3月到4月

在4月份之前,尽可能完成各项考试，例如SAT,雅思或者托福。如果你的父母在此期间会去美国,记得要跟着他们去拜访一些学校。很多美国的大学的招生官会在春季来中国做宣传。去Zinch里面找找他们来中国的日期和地址，多去参加他们主持的展会以获取更多的信息。

March–April

Register and take your SATS or ACTS, IELTS or TOEFL no later than April. If your mom or dad has a business trip in the USA, go with them and visit a few college campuses. Many American college admissions reps travel to China during these spring months. Check out Zinch to find when and where they will be speaking. Go to as many information sessions you can.

5月到6月

参加完SAT的分科考试。

May—June

SAT Subject Tests for all Senior 2’s (three are required by most selective colleges; three should be completed by June of junior year).

6月到8月

如果有可能,去拜访你心仪的大学,并开始准备申请文书的草稿。

June–August

Visit colleges if you have an opportunity to go to the USA. Start writing a draft of your college essay.

where you will apply.

Meet with college representatives when they travel to China. Interview when possible.

10月

从你所在高中开具你的成绩单.并完成SAT,ACT,雅思或者托福考试。

October

Notify your school office and request a transcript for the early application date. Take SATs or ACTs, IELTS or TOEFL (many senior 3’s take these tests a second time in the autumn of Senior 3.

11月

请两位老师为你写推荐信。要注意不同大学对推荐信的不同要求。填好表格,如果你要申请助学金,并再考一次SAT,如果有必要的话。

November

Ask two teachers to write your college recommendations. Check out the Chinese Guide for American Colleges for more information about teacher recommendations. Register for PROFILE if you will be applying for financial aid. Take SATs again if necessary.

12月到1月

完成你的申请文书并邮寄,一定要在截止日期之前。

December—January

Finish your college applications and mail them before the deadline.

1月1号到15号

多数学校已经截止申请,但不是全部,继续寄出你的申请和填好助学金的表格.
