　　PhD Position available in Computational Multiscale Multiphase Biomechanics at the University of Colorado at Boulder

　　I am currently seeking a PhD student to pursue a research project on computational multiscale multiphase biomechanics within the Engineering Science PhD program in the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder. The research entails developing a multiscale finite strain poromechanical solid-shell finite element formulation and implementation in an opensource C++ code Tahoe for the ocular lens capsule, as well as possibly a multiscale finite strain viscoelastic constitutive model and 3D finite element implementation for the lens fiber cell substance, with application to simulating mechanical loading of the ocular lens. An experimental component of the project will complement the modeling component (this PhD position blog is for the modeling component).
